KulaDAO is working towards a future with equitable distribution of natural resources. Their goal is to create an entirely new approach to the natural development and conservation of natural resources in the digital era, including and respecting the communities that own them.

Using the blockchain to create a completely transparent chain of ownership and ethical development, they can offer a transparent alternative to practices that have long been opaque and destructive.

Kula gets its’ name from the Kula Ring, one of the world’s first examples of trade, exchange, and community across borders. We used this reference starting point for both the color palette and mark, which represents the original trade route, and can be expanded into a full pattern used throughout the brand assets. The inspiration for the larger brand was to create a series of opening frames and boxes within which to focus your attention on the beauty of resources around the world. This ongoing project has evolved from white papers and presentations to Coin development and many other assets as the project grows.
